The dilemma for any small business is how to maximize throughput and grow the business without neglecting any of the supporting functions. Businesses many not be in a position to hire a full-time IT person or a bookkeeper, but these functions have to be performed on an on-going basis. One option is to outsource these functions to a third party and focus precious resources on your core business. Kaya Systems offers a number of solutions to address the varying needs of small-to-medium size businesses.

At the very basic level, KOF is a form of outsourcing but a lot more involved, with tasks exchanging hands in a more
real-time environment. So what is KOF’s premise? Most, if not all, of companies’ valuable managers/employees spend at least 25 – 30% of their time on tasks that are non-value added. What if some of those tasks could be done by someone else and they could focus on what best adds value to their business? Tasks like searching for information, updating website/content, preparing presentations, managing standard spreadsheet, etc. all fall under this category where someone else can not only perform the task at a lower cost but also save precious time and energy. The KOF fills this gap by giving a client access to a remote team that works with a number of professionals/managers within the company.

So how does the process actually work? The client simply clicks on KOF icon on its desktop and a form opens up that allows the client to submit a task/project to its KOF team. KOF Project Manager (PM) from the team gets back to the client on task details, turnaround time, budget etc. Once the client approves the proposal, the PM works with the KOF team and gets the task/project done in a timely fashion. This arrangement enables the client to offload its mundane and sometimes not so mundane tasks and to focus its resources and energy on its core business.
