Consulting

In today’s world it’s difficult to meaningfully talk about business without talking about information technology. The boundaries are blurred and the overlap is significant. Understanding of both disciplines and how the two intertwine is essential for a successful consulting assignment.

Our objective is to find ways to make your business more efficient and productive. Therefore, understanding the business problem is the key and the time spent accomplishing that is time well spent. Our focus is on crafting solutions to business problems that enable businesses to gain and/or enhance their competitive position. We live in a globalized world where businesses complete with rivals from both across the street and across the globe; therefore, survival depends on running a lean enterprise that quickly adapts to changing market forces. As we design solutions we keep implementation in mind, an excellent design that is difficult to implement or maintain is not a desirable solution. Therefore, we don’t see an assignment as a one-time transaction but as a series of interactions spread over the inception to the conclusion of the project – and months or even years thereafter.

Our Approach

When we take on a consulting assignment, we understand that our credibility (credibility is the currency of consulting) is on the line and we see ourselves as fully vested in your success. Similarly, no amount of consulting will solve a problem if the client is not fully committed or underestimates the level of involvement or resources required. The true magnitude of success or failure of a consulting assignment becomes evident after the consultants have moved on; therefore, while our customers demand robust solutions to their challenges, we ask for their involvement and commitment to ensure long-term success. If we feel all the stake holders are not fully committed to the project, we will insist on it before we undertake the assignment.

Engagement Methodology

Engagements are either onsite, offsite, or a mix of the two. We request that you provide us with a summary of your requirements or preferably Statement of Work (SOW) so we can make the determination if the assignment is a good fit.

Our basic methodology of approaching an assignment is given below:

  1. Listen and think
  2. Analyze and brainstorm
  3. Design and develop
  4. Propose and discuss
  5. Evaluate and agree
  6. Test and implement
  7. Evaluate and fine tune
  8. Monitor and handover
  9. Maintain continuity

To overcome continuity issue, we will stay in contact with the project manager even after the project has been handed over till the client feels that we have truly done our part and it’s now their responsibility. We believe that how we conclude a project is more important than how we initiate one.
